Intraocular Vision Correcting Lenses


Intraocular lens (IOL) is a lens implanted in the eye used to treat cataracts or myopia. Insertion of an intraocular lens for the treatment of cataracts is the most common performed eye surgical procedure. This procedure can be done under local anesthesia with the patient awake.

Laser Vision Correction


Laser vision correction, is a type of refractive surgery for the correction of myopia, astigmatism and hypermetropia. Lasik is performed by an ophthalmologist who uses a laser or microkeratome to reshape the eye's cornea in order to improve visual acuity. To most of the patients, LASIK provides a permanent alternative to eyeglasses or contact lenses.

Cataract Surgery


Cataract surgery is the removal of the natural lens of the eye  that has developed an opacification, known as cataract. Cataract surgery is generally performed by an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) in an ambulatory, in a surgical center or hospital, using local anesthesia, causing little or no discomfort to the patient.

Lachrymal surgery is a sub-specialty of ophthalmology which focuses on disorders of the eyelids and tear-drainage system. The surgical repertoire of the oculoplastic and lachrymal surgeon includes correction of eyelid malposition’s, treatment of in growing eyelashes, tumors’ of the lids removal and surrounding tissues and reconstruction of these tissues following tumor excision or trauma.
